I have long been fascinated by the built environment. Wherever I go, I find myself observing the delicate balance between places and the people who call them home. This curiosity naturally drew me to commercial development and ultimately shaped my career in real estate brokerage.
For more than twenty-five years, I have had the opportunity to serve in a wide range of roles within urban development and commercial real estate. Over the course of my career, I have brokered hundreds of commercial transactions, participated in numerous rezonings and site plan reviews, and contributed to the designation of historically significant properties. I have also worked closely with numerous local municipalities to support the development of vibrant urban cores, and partnered with historic property owners to uncover and articulate the unique stories of their landmarks—helping connect them with buyers who value their significance. In addition to my professional work, I have been privileged to collaborate with dedicated leaders across a variety of boards, committees, and commissions. My service has included roles with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission (Vice Chair), the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission (Chair), and as a founding member of both the Historic Gold District Committee and Preserve Mecklenburg. I have also contributed to organizations such as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Districts, Preservation North Carolina, the Mayor’s Legacy Commission, and the City of Charlotte’s Unified Development Ordinance Advisory Board. Beyond these roles, I have enjoyed engaging with the broader community as the host of a local television program and as an adjunct professor at Belmont Abbey College and Central Piedmont Community College—one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. To me, real estate is far more than a profession—it is a lifelong passion. It is a field that allows me to combine my interests in history, community, and development in meaningful ways, and it continues to inspire me every day.
